Olivia Wilde's thriller The Invite releases trailer ahead of July debut

Olivia Wilde's new psychological thriller The Invite (original title The Invite) stars Seth Rogen, Penélope Cruz, Edward Norton and Wilde herself. The film, shot entirely on 35 mm film in chronological order with extensive rehearsals, adapts Cesc Gay's Spanish drama Sentimental and was acquired by A24 after a competitive auction at Sundance 2026.

The official trailer and poster have been released in Brazil, where O2 Play will distribute the movie. Theatrical release in Brazil is set for 9 July 2026, with advance screenings on 27 June and 4 July at selected cinemas. The film explores a strained marriage during a single, unpredictable night with the couple's upstairs neighbors, blending sharp humor with themes of intimacy, communication and social anxiety.
