Ollagüe municipality secures 329 million pesos for first coworking space

The Municipality of Ollagüe has secured 329,907,351 Chilean pesos to implement the commune’s first coworking space. This marks a milestone as the first municipality to receive resources from the Regional Fund for Productivity and Development (FRPD) in the Antofagasta Region.

Defended by Mayor Jhean Ramírez Domínguez and municipal teams from Dideco and Secoplan, the project was approved by the Regional Council (CORE) with 14 votes in favor and two abstentions. The initiative is designed to strengthen the productive and labor capacities of 60 direct beneficiaries through a 16-month execution period.

The program includes technical assistance, training, support for business formalization, and the habilitation of collaborative workspaces by expanding and equipping the municipal Productive Development Unit. Antofagasta Governor Ricardo Díaz noted the importance of utilizing mining royalty funds for projects that generate new opportunities within local communities.
