Ollie Bearman misses Spanish GP qualifying after heavy crash

Haas driver Ollie Bearman will miss qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix following a heavy crash during the third free practice session at the Madrid circuit. The British driver lost control of his car in the second sector with less than a minute remaining in the session, striking the barriers at Turn 11.

The impact caused significant damage to both the front and rear of the vehicle, including a left-rear wheel that folded over the bodywork. Although Bearman climbed out of the car unassisted and confirmed he was unharmed, the Haas mechanics were unable to complete the extensive repairs before qualifying began.

The session was already disrupted by an earlier crash involving Lewis Hamilton, which led to a red flag and reduced the available repair time for teams. As a result of the mechanical failure to ready the car, Bearman is set to start Sunday's race from the back of the grid.
