Olmecas de Tabasco and Toros de Tijuana to face off in 2026 LMB Serie del Rey

The Liga Mexicana de Béisbol (LMB) has set the stage for an unprecedented 2026 Serie del Rey championship series between the Olmecas de Tabasco and the Toros de Tijuana. The series is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 8, at the Toros Mobil Park in Tijuana, where the Toros will host the first two games.

The series will then move to Tabasco for games three, four, and potentially five at Estadio Centenario. If a seventh game is required, the matchup will return to Tijuana. The championship follows a best-of-seven format, with the possibility of concluding as early as September 12 or extending to September 16.

The Toros de Tijuana, winners of the North Zone, are seeking their third LMB title. The Olmecas de Tabasco, champions of the South Zone, are aiming to secure their first championship in 33 years.
