Olímpia Folklore Festival concludes 62nd edition

The 62nd Festival do Folclore de Olímpia (Fefol) in Brazil is concluding its nine-day run, featuring more than 130 performances from 70 groups representing 20 Brazilian states. The event, which honors the state of Rio de Janeiro, attracted approximately 31,000 people during its opening night and generated over 10,000 hotel stays in the municipality.

This year's edition marks the 40th anniversary of the Professor José Sant’anna Folklore Site as the festival's official venue. The program included seminars, workshops, and cultural pilgrimages. Final activities include a closing parade along Avenida Aurora Forti Neves and an official closing ceremony.

Organizers announced that the state of Amazonas will be the honored guest for the 63rd edition of the festival in 2027.
