Olmsted County legal developments in abuse and escape cases
In Olmsted County, two separate criminal cases have reached significant legal milestones. Theodore Allen Mapstone Peters, 42, was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison followed by 10 years of supervised release. Peters entered a plea agreement in June, admitting to a second-degree criminal sexual conduct charge involving the long-term sexual abuse of a child.
Separately, the Olmsted County Attorney’s Office is seeking an aggravated sentence for Jascon Jacoby Hollins, 43. Hollins is accused of felony escape from custody during an incident on September 16. According to court documents, Hollins attempted to flee while being treated at St. Marys hospital, leading to a collision between a detention deputy and a nurse, Clint Peterson. The collision resulted in Peterson suffering a brain bleed and a skull fracture. While Peterson has returned home, he faces a difficult recovery involving the loss of taste and smell, as well as hearing issues.
