Olomouc adjusts parking regulations following resident complaints

Olomouc city officials have revised upcoming parking regulations following public complaints regarding availability. The city council decided to maintain free parking at two specific locations outside of peak hours: near the polyclinic by the Marketplace and at the Husův Sbor near the aircraft.

Under the new rules, effective after February 1, 2027, these areas will be regulated from Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 18:00, with a rate of 40 CZK per hour. This decision serves as a compromise to accommodate residents and visitors. Additionally, the council is preparing a '1+1' parking zone system at the boundaries of parking areas and exploring resident credits for visitors and craftsmen.
