Olomouc begins construction of Slavonín–Nedvězí cycling path

Construction has begun on a new 1.8-kilometer cycling path connecting Slavonín and Nedvězí. The project, costing 14.5 million CZK, aims to provide a safer alternative to the heavily used II/570 road and integrate into the wider network connecting Olomouc to surrounding municipalities and Prostějov.

The route will include approximately 1,230 meters of new asphalt surface with a width of 2.5 meters. To enhance safety and visibility, the project includes public lighting and the installation of solar-powered markers in areas where traditional lighting is not feasible. Completion is expected by May next year.
