Olomouc Region increases sports facility funding

The Olomouc Region has significantly increased its subsidy program for the construction and reconstruction of sports facilities. This year, the allocation for such projects has been raised by 50 million CZK, bringing the total available funds to nearly 70 million CZK.

In response to local inquiries regarding specific infrastructure, officials noted that while there are currently no active plans for a new ice rink in Hranice, the regional government remains committed to supporting athletic infrastructure through these expanded grants. Additionally, to address dental care shortages, the region has introduced a new scholarship program aimed at supporting young dentists to study and practice within the Olomouc Region.
