Olomouc region police investigate series of brutal attacks on children

Police in the Olomouc region are investigating a series of brutal attacks targeting children, allegedly carried out by a group of older youths traveling to village festivities. The incidents have occurred in several locations, including Náměšť na Hané, Slatinice, Drahanovice, Senička, and Luběnice.

In one particularly violent incident occurring on the night of August 23, a 14-year-old boy was attacked by a group of masked individuals who arrived in a car. The victim was beaten and stomped on while unconscious; he remains hospitalized at the Olomouc Faculty Hospital with multiple fractures to his jaw and facial bones.

Another reported attack involved a 15-year-old boy who was beaten unconscious by five older youths after attempting to defend a friend. The victim suffered a concussion. Witnesses and parents suggest the attackers may be part of an organized group targeting various local events.
