Olot installs new pedestrian crossing lights on Les Tries road

The Olot City Council has completed the first phase of a project to improve lighting at pedestrian crossings on the Les Tries road. Ten new light points have been installed to address darkness in the area, following requests from local residents.

Mayor Agustí Arbós noted that the wide avenue, which includes vehicle lanes and bike paths, previously contained very dark spots at crossings. This initiative is part of a broader €200,000 urban lighting improvement plan approved by the council, which will also target locations such as the Sant Roc bridge and the Firalet area in the city center to enhance public safety and coexistence.
