The cultural season in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship has officially opened in Olsztyn, marked by a ceremony at the Center for Education and Cultural Initiatives (CEiIK) which also celebrated the institution's 75th anniversary.

During the event, several creators received prestigious honors from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. The Gloria Artis Bronze Medal for Meritorious Service to Culture was awarded to Andrzej Brzozowski, Henryk Cirut, Konrad Lenkiewicz, and Zbigniew Mieruński. Other honors included the Meritorious for Polish Culture badge and various regional awards for institutions such as the Warmia and Mazury Museum, the Stefan Jaracz Theater, and the Warmian-Masurian Philharmonic.

Separately, the Olsztyn Sports and Recreation Center (OSiR) marked its 60th anniversary. Established in 1966, the center has managed various local facilities including the Ukiel Recreational and Sports Center, Aquasfera, and several swimming pools and sports fields. Olsztyn President Robert Szewczyk recognized the staff's efforts in maintaining the city's sports and recreational infrastructure.
