Olsztyn hosts XXIII International Medical Rescue Championships
The XXIII International Medical Rescue Championships took place in Olsztyn, Poland, from September 9 to 11. The event featured approximately 50 teams selected through regional eliminations, alongside 10 international teams from countries including Ukraine, Hungary, Cyprus, Greece, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the United Kingdom, Slovakia, and Estonia.
In addition to the competitive aspect, which included eight championship disciplines, the event featured a seminar for participants. Topics discussed included airway management, hypothermia, spinal immobilization, and mass casualty incidents. Experts, including Dr. Andrzej Nabzdyk, emphasized the necessity of seamless cooperation between dispatch centers, ambulances, and emergency departments to ensure effective patient care within the broader healthcare system.
