Olt County Council proposes holiday gift budget for children

The Olt County Council has proposed allocating 326,000 lei from its own budget to provide holiday gifts for children during the winter season. The initiative, proposed by Council President Marius Oprescu, is scheduled for review by county councilors during an ordinary meeting on August 31.

The funds are intended for children at the Balș School Center for Inclusive Education and the Balș Special Vocational School. Additionally, the budget covers gifts for children with disabilities or special needs supported by non-governmental organizations, as well as groups of children who visit the Council headquarters for traditional caroling.
