OLTA launches embedded factoring service via API integration

OLTA Inc. has launched an ‘embedded factoring’ service that allows third-party platforms to integrate online factoring capabilities via API. This service enables partner companies to offer financing, including credit assessment and debt collection management, without needing to establish their own specialized financial infrastructure.

The first major implementation will be a collaboration with JCB Co., Ltd. The two companies plan to integrate OLTA’s cloud factoring into JCB’s ‘Cashmap’—a cash flow management and improvement portal for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and sole proprietors. The integration is expected to be completed by the end of March 2027.

Through this partnership, Cashmap users will be able to seamlessly convert pending invoices into immediate working capital directly within the portal. This initiative follows a capital and business alliance established between JCB and OLTA in May 2023, aiming to provide SMEs with more flexible liquidity options as traditional payment methods like promissory notes face phase-out in Japan.
