Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo receives support from Ondo diaspora and flood victims
Nigeria’s Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has received support from Ondo State indigenes in Canada and political leaders within Nigeria regarding his future political involvement.
During a visit to Toronto for the Nigeria Diaspora Economic Conference, Ondo State residents living in Canada hosted a reception for the Minister. Participants commended his performance in public office and urged him to consider a future bid for the governorship of Ondo State. Tunji-Ojo declined to make a political declaration, stating that there is a time for everything.
In Ondo State, All Progressives Congress (APC) leader Omoyele Olabode commended the Minister for providing direct financial relief to over 1,000 flood victims in the South Senatorial District. The cash transfers, coordinated through the Minister’s Flood Relief Palliative Sponsored initiative, were intended to assist households displaced by recent flooding in six local government areas.
