Oluremi Tinubu inaugurates APC women's campaign council
Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has inaugurated the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Women Campaign Council in Abuja. The event, themed ‘Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0: From Reforms to Prosperity’, aims to mobilize support for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
The newly formed council is designed to coordinate campaigns for APC candidates at various levels, including the Presidency, governorships, and national and state assemblies. Senator Tinubu stated that previous independent women’s support groups have been consolidated into this single campaign structure.
During the mobilization efforts, officials highlighted several administration achievements, including the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which has reportedly disbursed over N191 billion to more than 1.4 million registered students. Other cited initiatives include the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation (CREDICORP) and significant infrastructure projects, such as the construction of over 2,700 kilometers of highways.
