Olympia Odos introduces first hydrogen car on Greek motorway

Olympia Odos has introduced a Toyota MIRAI, one of the first fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) in Greece, to its operational fleet. This marks the first time a hydrogen-powered vehicle is operating on a Greek motorway.

The vehicle is refueled at the AVIN hydrogen station in Agioi Theodoroi, Corinthia. This initiative is part of the company’s participation in the European TRIERES – Greek Hydrogen Valley project, which aims to develop Greece’s first integrated hydrogen ecosystem near the Motor Oil refinery. The project focuses on hydrogen production via electrolysis for use in industry, transport, shipping, and energy.

Through its collaboration with Motor Oil and involvement in the Hydrogen Valley project, Olympia Odos aims to support its roadmap toward achieving a zero carbon footprint by 2030.
