George Angelopoulos, President of Olympiacos BC, recently inspected the ongoing renovation works at the Peace and Friendship Stadium (SEF). The project involves significant structural changes, including the removal of existing seating to make way for new suites and the demolition of the current floor. The new parquet is planned to be installed approximately three meters lower, a move intended to increase stadium capacity and bring spectators closer to the court.

To date, the Angelopoulos brothers have invested approximately 15 million euros into these renovations. While major work continues in the central arena, the team's new training facility is nearing completion and is expected to be fully operational by mid-September, alongside the academy courts. The first team has already begun using Hall 3 for daily training.

Despite the physical progress, questions have been raised regarding the legal status of the project, as the official concession contract for the stadium has not yet been signed by the state, despite a parliamentary amendment being passed over a year ago.
