Olympiacos prepares for EuroLeague season and volleyball transfer

Olympiacos is preparing for the new EuroLeague season, with head coach Georgios Bartzokas emphasizing the need for a ‘small rebuild’ to renew motivation. Ahead of their season opener against Baskonia, Bartzokas noted that while the team is talented, they require time to build chemistry. He highlighted the importance of new players like Jan Mortier and the continued presence of Sasha Vezenkov.

Vezenkov reflected on the team's previous EuroLeague championship, stating that while the achievement was a dream realized, athletes must live in the present and fight again for new goals. Bartzokas also addressed the team's recent Super Cup performance, noting that defensive intensity must improve to match their competitive ambitions.

In women's volleyball, Olympiacos has announced the signing of Bulgarian international middle blocker Maria Krivosiska. The 25-year-old joins the club following a successful stint in Hungary with Bekesscambai, where she was named the best middle blocker of the championship.
