Olympiacos coach Imanol Alguacil cleared of inciting violence

The DEAB (the Ministry of Sports' oversight body) has cleared Olympiacos coach Imanol Alguacil Barrenechea of allegations regarding the incitement of sports violence. The investigation followed a social media post by the coach containing a photograph of a stadium choreo from a recent derby against Panathinaikos.

In its decision, the DEAB stated that evidence failed to prove the coach intended to incite violence through his Instagram post. While the coach was cleared, Olympiacos FC was issued a fine of 50,000 euros regarding the same matter. Olympiacos had previously criticized the investigation, labeling it a baseless prosecution prompted by their rivals.
