Olympiacos coach Imanol Alguacil reacts to fifth consecutive victory

Olympiacos secured a 2-0 victory against Panetolikos in the seventh round of the Stoiximan Super League, marking their fifth consecutive win. Following the match, coach Imanol Alguacil praised the team's ability to maintain intensity despite a demanding schedule that included recent matches against Panathinaikos and Marseille.

Alguacil highlighted his strategy of squad rotation to manage player fatigue and maintain competitive depth. He noted that he has utilized 18 different players across recent matches to evaluate the full squad. The coach expressed satisfaction with the positive responses from the players and emphasized the importance of ball possession and controlling the game's rhythm rather than relying solely on physical strength or individual actions.

Reflecting on the performance, Alguacil mentioned that while the team dominated, they should have finalized the result earlier in the first half. He also commended the club's supporters, stating that Olympiacos possesses some of the best fans in Europe.
