Olympiacos FC holds annual voluntary blood donation drive

Olympiacos FC held its annual voluntary blood donation drive on Saturday, September 12, at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium press room. Organized in collaboration with Metaxa Hospital, the event is held twice a year in memory of the victims of Gate 7.

Many fans responded to the call, contributing to support oncology patients at Metaxa Hospital. Panagiotis Boundounas, the coordinator of the blood donation and Olympiacos ticket management official, expressed gratitude for the high turnout and noted that many volunteers were new participants.

Sarantos Efstathopoulos, the director of Metaxa Hospital, emphasized the connection between Olympiacos and social solidarity in Piraeus, thanking the club's president, Evangelos Marinakis, and the volunteers for their life-saving contributions. The next blood donation event is scheduled for February.
