Olympiacos targets Portuguese midfielder Daniel Bragança

Greek club Olympiacos, under coach José Luis Mendilibar, is planning to reinforce its midfield for the new season after a weak attacking display last year. The club has identified 27‑year‑old Portuguese central midfielder Daniel Bragança as a priority target. Bragança, who has played for Sporting CP and amassed three Portuguese league titles, 24 goals and 19 assists in 215 appearances, is being considered for a loan deal with an obligation to buy.

According to Portuguese media, Bragança initially rejected Olympiacos’ approach, but the Greek side remains keen to persuade the player. Mendilibar’s interest reflects Olympiacos’ broader strategy to improve its European competition performance and address the “mid‑field gap” that hampered the team in the previous campaign.
