Olympiacos negotiates transfer of Rubén Vargas from Sevilla FC

Olympiacos is in advanced negotiations to sign Swiss international winger Rubén Vargas from Sevilla FC. The Greek club has reportedly submitted offers ranging between 12 and 15 million euros to secure the 28-year-old, who is a priority for Olympiacos manager José Luis Mendilibar.

Sevilla FC initially sought a figure closer to 20 million euros for the player. However, as the transfer window nears its end, reports suggest the club may be willing to lower its demands to facilitate the move. Vargas has expressed a desire to leave Sevilla, though he has also been linked to interest from clubs in the Bundesliga, Premier League, and Serie A.

Due to the proximity of the deal, Sevilla manager Luis García Plaza has excluded Vargas from recent match squads to avoid the risk of injury during negotiations. The player has not participated in recent training sessions as his departure appears increasingly likely.
