Olympiacos secures 1-0 win over Levadiakos via Saliakas header

Olympiacos secured a 1-0 away victory against Levadiakos in the 5th round of the Super League Greece, thanks to a 92nd-minute header from Manolis Saliakas following a cross by Remo Freuler.

The win provides much-needed momentum for new head coach Imanol Alguacil, who is working to implement his tactical philosophy. Despite the victory, analysts noted that the team still faces challenges in offensive creativity and consistency, particularly in breaking down organized defenses.

As the league enters an international break, Olympiacos faces significant squad depletion with 13 players called up for national team duties, including Panagiotis Retsos and Saliakas. The coach will use this period to address tactical weaknesses ahead of the upcoming derby against Panathinaikos on October 11.
