Olympiacos secures direct entry into Europa League League Phase
Olympiacos has secured a direct spot in the UEFA Europa League League Phase following their elimination from the Champions League third qualifying round by Naimagen. The Piraeus-based club will be placed in the first seeding group for the upcoming draw scheduled for August 28.
Other teams that have already secured positions in the League Phase include Bayer Leverkusen, Juventus, Milan, AZ Alkmaar, Real Sociedad, Rennes, Marseille, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, Sunderland, Celta Vigo, Hoffenheim, Torreense, Sturm Graz, Sparta Prague, and Union Saint-Gilloise.
The Europa League play-off matchups have been established, with first legs scheduled for August 20 and second legs for August 27. Winners of these 12 pairings will join the existing qualified teams, along with seven teams dropping down from the Champions League play-offs and four teams from the third qualifying round.
