Olympiacos signs guard Juan Monteiro, vows to chase EuroLeague and Greek titles

Juan Monteiro, a guard from the Dominican Republic, has joined Greek basketball powerhouse Olympiacos for the 2026‑27 season, as confirmed in his interview with Spanish outlet Marega Deportes.

Monteiro said his objective is to win every competition – the EuroLeague, the Greek championship and the domestic cup. He praised head coach Georgios Bartzokas, calling him one of Europe’s top coaches, and highlighted veteran teammate Evan Furnie as a key figure from whom he hopes to learn.

The acquisition is among the most high‑profile moves of Olympiacos’ summer transfer window, strengthening a roster that already secured the recent European title.
