Olympiacos targeting former NBA player Trendon Watford

Olympiacos is showing strong interest in acquiring American forward Trendon Watford to fill the void left by Alec Peters, who departed for Armani Milano. The Greek club faces competition from Spanish teams Valencia and Baskonia, both of whom are also seeking frontcourt reinforcements.

Watford, a 25-year-old standing 2.03 meters tall, brings significant experience from the NBA, having played 270 games for the Portland Trail Blazers, Brooklyn Nets, and Philadelphia 76ers. During the 2025-26 season with Philadelphia, he averaged 6.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.

Reports indicate that the NBA remains Watford's priority. Olympiacos is reportedly willing to wait approximately one week for his decision before pivoting to other recruitment possibilities.
