Olympiacos targets new strikers as Borja Mayoral move stalls
Olympiacos is actively seeking to strengthen its attacking line during the final stages of the transfer period. While the club has officially denied certain rumors to avoid distractions during preparations for their upcoming match against Janglia, several targets are being pursued.
Reports from Spain indicate that a move for Getafe striker Borja Mayoral is unlikely to materialize. According to journalist Álvaro Ramos of Diario AS, the 29-year-old player has no intention of leaving Getafe for Greece, and there has been no official proposal or advanced contact from the Greek side. Both the player and the Spanish club wish to continue their partnership.
As a result, Olympiacos is shifting its focus toward other options. Borja Iglesias, the 33-year-old striker from Celta Vigo, has emerged as a primary target. Although Iglesias is currently managing an injury that may keep him sidelined until the end of the month, his name remains prominent. Other potential targets mentioned include Marius Mouandilmadji of Samsunspor, Scot Adams of Torino, and Mauro Icardi, though the latter is considered less likely due to high salary requirements.
