Olympiacos undergoes squad rebuilding via Premier League transfers
Olympiacos is undergoing a significant squad rebuilding process following a summer transfer strategy focused on three main pillars: targeting the Premier League, investing in young players with high resale value, and implementing specific tactical changes.
The club generated approximately €50 million in revenue by selling three players to the English Premier League: Konstantinos Tzolakis, Christos Mouzakitis, and Kostinha. This income helped balance the club's Financial Fair Play (FFP) requirements against their €60 million in new expenditures.
To strengthen the squad, Olympiacos recruited four players from the Premier League, including Leon Bailey, Zota Silva, David Carmo, and Stefan Ortega. The club's immediate upcoming schedule includes the Super League 3x3 in Volos and a Europa League match against Jagellonia in Piraeus on September 16.
