Olympians Anita Horvat and Žan Luka Zelko marry

Slovenian Olympians Anita Horvat, an athlete, and Žan Luka Zelko, a sailor, have married. The couple, who met in 2022 at the Mediterranean Games, gained public attention when Zelko proposed to Horvat during the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games while sailing on the Seine.

The wedding ceremony was officiated by David Klobasa, the mayor of Sveta Trojica in Slovenske Gorice, who is also a friend of Zelko. Horvat shared glimpses of the celebration, including her wedding dress and their first dance, on social media.
