Swedish biathlon champions Hanna Öberg and Martin Ponsiluoma announce first child

Olympic biathlon medalists Hanna Öberg and Martin Ponsiluoma revealed via Instagram that they are expecting their first child. The couple shared photos of Öberg’s baby bump and wrote that the upcoming season will bring new challenges. Their announcement prompted congratulations from fellow biathletes, including Denise Herrmann‑Wick, Franziska Preuß, Dorothea Wierer and Quentin Fillon Maillet.

Öberg, a double Olympic champion with four Olympic medals and multiple World Championship titles, will miss at least the start of the next World Cup season.
