Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina officials demand election review

Several high-ranking officials within the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina (OK BiH) have issued a joint statement demanding a review of specific decisions and procedures within the institution. The group, which includes Vice President Izet Rađo, members of the Executive Committee, and the President of the Supervisory Board, argues that the organization must not become a tool for national or interest-based agreements.

The officials are calling for a re-examination of the election of Davor Komšić to the Presidency and the appointment of Antonio Tomić as General Secretary. They raised concerns regarding Tomić’s dual role as an active football referee and General Secretary, specifically citing his assignment to referee the Sarajevo vs. Borac derby. The signatories are requesting the disclosure of selection criteria, candidate scoring, and relevant meeting minutes to ensure transparency.

Furthermore, the group questioned the legality of Davor Komšić’s election to the Presidency according to the Statute. They also highlighted a potential conflict of interest regarding Vico Zeljković, who serves simultaneously as the President of the Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and as a member of the Presidency of the Olympic Committee.
