Olympique de Marseille appoints Bruno Genesio as head coach

Olympique de Marseille have ended the tenure of Habib Beye and confirmed the appointment of Bruno Genesio, the 59‑year‑old former Lille manager, on a two‑year contract with an optional third year. Genesio, who guided Lille to a Champions League qualification, is tasked with restoring the club to the top tier of European competition, with the explicit goal of reaching the Champions League next season.

Genesio is also assembling his staff, targeting goalkeeper coach Nicolas Dehon, who previously worked with Steve Mandanda at Lille and has experience at Marseille during the Deschamps era. Lille is reluctant to release Dehon, but Genesio hopes to secure his specialist to strengthen the team's defensive training as part of the rebuild.
