Sturm Graz defeats Olympique Marseille 1–0 in Europa League

Sturm Graz secured their first victory of the UEFA Europa League league phase with a 1–0 win over Olympique Marseille at the Merkur Arena in Graz. Oumar Diakité scored the decisive goal in the 13th minute following a turnover in midfield, capitalizing on a pass from Luca Weinhandl.

The defeat marks Marseille's third consecutive loss in the competition, leaving them at the bottom of the 36-team standings with zero points. Despite controlling much of the possession, the French side struggled with technical precision and failed to convert key opportunities, including a strike by Keyliane Abdallah that hit the woodwork.

For Sturm Graz, the win moves them to four points in the competition. The Austrian side, led by coach Fabio Ingolitsch, managed the result despite playing with a substitute goalkeeper, Ammar Helac, due to an injury to Daniil Chudjakow.
