Olympique de Marseille eyes Hamed Traoré loan, Jean-Clair Todibo move

Olympique de Marseille is preparing a season‑long loan deal for midfielder Hamed Junior Traoré, who is under contract with the club until 2030. Genoa in Italy has expressed interest, and the loan would proceed without a purchase option, subject to wage arrangements.

The French club is also reported to be targeting defender Jean‑Claude Todibo, currently at West Ham United. Todibo has refused to play for West Ham after their relegation to the Championship, and his contract runs until 2029 with an estimated market value of €22 million. Marseille would need to negotiate a substantial salary adjustment to complete the transfer.

Both moves aim to reduce Marseille’s wage bill and strengthen the squad ahead of the upcoming season.
