Eyüpspor and Marseille face critical league matches

In the Turkish Süper Lig, Eyüpspor prepares to host Göztepe for the 7th week of the season. Eyüpspor currently sits at the bottom of the table with one win and five losses, while Göztepe holds 17th place. Following a heavy 8-0 defeat to Fenerbahçe, Eyüpspor recently appointed Mustafa Dalcı as technical director to replace Özhan Pulat. The club also adjusted ticket prices following fan feedback.

In France, Olympique de Marseille faces a critical match against Troyes in Ligue 1. Marseille is currently in 17th place after four consecutive defeats. Coach Bruno Genesio has described the situation as an “urgency” to stop the losing streak. The squad is dealing with significant absences, including Timothy Weah, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, and Derek Cornelius. Amidst financial constraints, player Igor Paixao has expressed a willingness to discuss salary reductions to assist the club. Meanwhile, Troyes enters the match with its own roster challenges, including the absence of Anis Ouzenadji due to injury.
