Olympique de Marseille faces difficulty offloading Geoffrey Kondogbia

Olympique de Marseille (OM) is facing significant financial and administrative challenges regarding midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia. The 33-year-old player earns a monthly salary of approximately 450,000 euros, totaling roughly 5.5 million euros per season, which has become a major obstacle to his departure.

Despite efforts by sporting director Grégory Lorenzi to reduce the club's wage bill through various departures, Kondogbia remains at the club. His high cost, combined with recurring physical injuries that limit his availability on the pitch, has diminished interest from potential suitors as the transfer window approaches its close.

The situation creates a difficult environment for head coach Bruno Genesio, who must manage squad uncertainty and the financial constraints that require the club to sell players before making new signings.
