Olympique de Marseille narrows coaching search to Galtier and Genesio
Olympique de Marseille is actively pursuing a new head coach to replace Habib Beye, who is expected to leave after the 2025/2026 season. The club’s shortlist is centered on two French managers: Bruno Genesio, currently at Lille (LOSC) with his contract set to expire, and former LOSC and PSG boss Christophe Galtier, who has expressed strong interest in returning to his hometown club.
Genesio is praised for his recent Champions League qualification with Lille, while Galtier brings experience of winning Ligue 1, the Coupe de France and the Coupe de la Ligue. Both candidates are being evaluated as the club aims to secure a coach capable of restoring a European‑competition presence for the team.
