Olympique de Marseille eye Noah Atubolu as Geronimo Rulli heads to Manchester City

Olympique de Marseille have agreed personal terms with goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli, but a valuation gap is delaying a formal deal. Manchester City have offered around €2 million, while Marseille are said to be seeking €3.5 million. Rulli, 34, is expected to leave for the Premier League club after his contract with Marseille expires.

To replace Rulli, Marseille have identified German Bundesliga keeper Noah Atubolu as a priority target. Transfermarkt values the 24‑year‑old at €25 million, but his contract with SC Fribourg ends next summer, which could allow a reduced fee. The club have also kept other options on the table, including French prospect Guillaume Restes and Dutch keeper Jeffrey de Lange, who remains at Marseille after a move to FC Twente fell through.

The goalkeeper hunt comes as Marseille look to stabilise a key position ahead of the new season, while negotiations over Rulli’s fee continue between the French and English clubs.
