Senegal defeats Comoros 1-0 in friendly at Stade Vélodrome

Senegal defeated Comoros 1-0 in an international friendly match held at the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille. The decisive goal was scored by Iliman Ndiaye in the 5th minute of the match, following an action initiated by Ibrahim Mbaye.

Under the direction of coach Patrick Vieira, the Senegal national team displayed improved tactical coherence and ball circulation compared to previous outings. Despite controlling much of the possession and the tempo, the team faced challenges with clinical finishing in the latter stages of the game, failing to extend their lead.

The match, which saw a relatively low turnout due to high ticket pricing, served as an opportunity for Vieira to evaluate squad depth and make adjustments ahead of upcoming official fixtures. For Ndiaye, the match marked a significant return to the Vélodrome, where he previously played for Olympique de Marseille. Following the game, Ndiaye expressed a desire to potentially return to Marseille later in his career.
