Olympique de Marseille to offload Hamed Junior Traoré to Genoa

Ivorian forward Hamed Junior Traoré, who signed permanently with Olympique de Marseille after a loan spell, has struggled with injuries, missing the start of the season and spending 108 days on the sidelines. He made only 19 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals and providing two assists. Italian club Genoa have expressed strong interest, and talks are reportedly advancing toward a transfer. Sources cite a possible loan with an option to buy, or a long‑term contract running to 2031. A move would allow Marseille to reduce its wage bill while giving Traoré the chance to return to Serie A, where he previously played for Empoli, Sassuolo and Napoli. No definitive agreement has been announced yet.
