Olympique Lyon could field new striker Loïs Openda against Sparta Prague

Olympique Lyon’s latest signing, Belgian forward Loïs Openda, missed the team's 0‑4 friendly defeat to Real Betis in Cádiz. Coach Paulo Fonseca indicated the club may bring the 26‑year‑old into the squad for the upcoming Champions League third‑round qualifier against Sparta Prague.

Fonseca said the team needs a more experienced number‑9 after offensive struggles in the recent loss. Openda, recruited from RC Lens and previously on loan from Juventus, is expected to provide depth, speed and finishing ability in the crucial European tie scheduled for Tuesday.
