Olympique Lyon Looks to Sell Pavel Sulc for €20 M to Finance New Striker
Olympique Lyon (OL) aims to generate a profit by transferring Czech midfielder Pavel Sulc, whose market value is estimated at around €20 million by Transfermarkt. Sulc, 25, joined the club a year ago on a free transfer with a €7.5 million salary, scoring 15 goals and providing 10 assists in 42 matches across all competitions. Although under contract until 2029, the club is prepared to let him leave if a buyer offers a sizable fee, using the proceeds to fund the acquisition of a world‑class number 9 striker.
Coach Paulo Fonseca confirmed that the summer market remains active. “On continue de travailler pour recruter d'autres joueurs,” he said, adding that the club will strengthen multiple positions. Young forwards Enzo Molebe and Alejandro Gomes Rodríguez face stiff competition for limited spots, and sporting director Matthieu Louis‑Jean is reportedly waiting for offers for the targeted striker.
