Olympique Lyonnais coach prioritizes PSG match after Europa League loss

Olympique Lyonnais manager Paulo Fonseca faced criticism following a 3-0 defeat against Hoffenheim in the Europa League. The loss was attributed to a significant squad rotation, as Fonseca opted to rest key players to prepare for an upcoming Ligue 1 match against Paris Saint-Germain.

Former striker Jean-Pierre Papin defended the decision, noting that Fonseca was transparent about his intention to prioritize the domestic clash against the reigning European champions. Papin suggested that with six points already secured in the group stage, the manager had the flexibility to manage player fatigue.
