Olympique Lyonnais Féminin defeats Toulouse 5-0

Olympique Lyonnais Féminin secured a dominant 5-0 victory against Toulouse in Première Ligue, following a recent 0-0 draw against Chelsea in the Champions League. In the match against Toulouse, Inès Benyahia opened the scoring in the 3rd minute, followed by goals from Ada Hegerberg and Tabitha Chawinga. Despite the large scoreline, coach Jonatan Giráldez utilized ten changes to the lineup due to a heavy schedule.

Defender Moussa Niakhaté is expected to return to Lyon for medical treatment after being sidelined during international duty with Senegal.

The club faces a dense October schedule, which includes matches against Paris Saint-Germain, Marseille, Inter Milan in the Champions League, and Montpellier. Additionally, five Lyon players—Emma Motyka, Rosie Olando, Maëly Ane, Méhisane Adi, and Léa Motyka—have been selected to represent France in the upcoming U17 World Cup in Morocco.
