Olympique Lyonnais reverts to OL Groupe name

Shareholders of the French football club Olympique Lyonnais have voted to revert the parent company's name from Eagle Football Group back to OL Groupe. This decision, approved during a general assembly on Friday, October 16, 2026, marks a definitive departure from the era of former president John Textor.

Under the leadership of Michele Kang, who took control of the club in August 2026, the group also approved a transition of its stock market listing. The company will move its listing from Euronext Paris to Euronext Growth, a market designed for mid-sized enterprises. This shift is intended to provide a regulatory framework better suited to the company's current size and capitalization.

The group expects to file for the transfer of the listing at the end of the month and plans to publish its 2025-2026 annual accounts by October 31. This restructuring follows the administrative relegation of the club to Ligue 2 under previous management.
