Olympique Lyonnais suffers defeat against PSG amid absence of Keito Nakamura

Olympique Lyonnais fell to a 0-2 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain, a loss that saw the club drop to fifth place, outside the Champions League qualification zone.

The team struggled offensively due to the absence of several key players. Japanese midfielder Keito Nakamura was serving a suspension following a red card in a previous match against Nice. Additionally, Lyon was without Belgian forward Loïs Openda and Czech midfielder Pavel Schmalz due to injuries.

Local media outlet ‘OLC’ noted that the absence of Nakamura, Openda, and Schmalz reduced the tactical threats facing the PSG defense. Lyon manager Paulo Fonseca acknowledged the shortage of attacking options during the match.
