Olympique de Marseille has appointed former Lille coach Bruno Genesio to lead the team for the 2026‑2027 season. Under his guidance, the club will open its Ligue 1 campaign at the CEPAC Vélodrome against Strasbourg, marking the first time the season has started at that venue since 2018‑19.

Separately, Marseille will conduct a four‑day "Summer Tour 2026" in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, from 15 to 18 July. The itinerary includes a press conference, an open training session, and a gala match on 17 July where the club will face Yamoussoukro FC. The visit aims to prepare the squad for the upcoming season and promote Ivory Coast as a tourist and event destination under the club’s partnership with Sublime Côte d’Ivoire.
